Clean North congratulates Avery Perreault, Celeste Schoahs, Fischer Lane, and Lorenzo Bressan, four local high school students who were chosen to receive a $500 scholarship from Clean North and Shaw.
These green-minded young people will use these scholarships to pursue environmental studies during their post-secondary education.
“At Clean North, our mandate is to try to encourage and help people to lead greener lives for the benefit of not just the environment but also humanity,” said Clean North’s Peter McLarty. “We live in challenging environmental times. There are so many issues to grapple with that affect all aspects of our lives, from industrial pollution to invasive species to climate change.
“Awarding these scholarships is one way we as an organization can encourage the next generation to pursue environmental studies and become future leaders in protecting the planet.”
