Clean North congratulates Chloe Haney and Jenna Mauro, two local high school students, who each were awarded a $500 scholarship from Clean North and Shaw.
Chloe and Jenna will use these scholarships to further their studies of the environment in university and help them become environmental leaders of tomorrow.
“We want to get people focused more on the environment, and I see in the young people a desire to make a difference and become actively involved,” said Clean North’s Peter McLarty. “We thought these scholarships would be one way to encourage students to carry on their studies of the environment and hopefully become future leaders.”
Well done to both young women, and best of luck at Algoma University! We are proud of you and expect great things of you both.
Clean North would like to thank Shaw Cable and Christian Lemay for being our partner on this project. Learn more about how Shaw is supporting communities and the environment here: https://www.shaw.ca/corpo…/environmental-social-governance.
