YEP Forum - In Testing

Howdy all,

I'm looking for people to help test out the YEP Forum. Don't know what I
mean? Well I'll explain.

A forum is like an online bulletin board. Users (us) can post our ideas for
others to comment on. A forum is more that email, which is really just two
way. Forums allow everyone to give their input in an organized way. I was
talking to Tiffany about it, and she said it might be a good idea because it
could act as pre- or post-meeting discussion if need be.

The forum is right now at http://yepforum.howdykid.com/. It is not on Clean
North because it'd be really complicated to set up. There is not a link on
the "members" page yet because I'm not sure if the board is a "yay" or a
"nay" (waiting on Tiffany).

So you'll notice you have to create a user name. I'm asking people to use
their real name (ie. my user name is DanGowans). This makes it a lot easier
to tell who is who. After you fill in the brief form, it says you need to
be validated. This step is just so that I can keep the forum as "YEP
members only", and set up special permissions (ie. special discussion area
for execs). (That's another reason why I'm asking for real names for user
names.) I'll validate you fairly quickly, but you can still access the
forum without being validated.

Look around and see what's there. There is a calendar where events can be
posted, members lists, and a private messaging system right on the forum.
You can fill in a profile section with IM names, and other little things.
Some of these features may not be important, but they are there
nevertheless.

Thanks so much. If there are any questions, comments, concerns, please send
them my way. I like feedback, :).

Danny G
