Hello,
This is to welcome you to the email list for YEP. We've called the list yep-all@lists.cleannorth.org rather than just yep, to keep from causing confusion. yep@cleannorth.org will go to Tiffany, yep-all@lists.cleannorth.org goes to all of you.
You can also have sub-lists if you like, this way. Such as: yep-promo@lists. or yep-funds@lists. So smaller groups of you can have smaller discussion lists if you want.
Remember to reply "all" when answering a message, not just reply, because you'll want your reply to go to everyone, not just the person who sent the first message. And start a new message rather than replying, if your message is about something different. That way the message threads will be logical.
Remember that this list will be archived "forever" (and is public), so remember that when you're sending messages. Don't flame anybody because you might regret it later, maybe months or even years later. Stay polite even when you're arguing and you'll never be embarrassed about what's on the record.
Archives are here: http://lists.cleannorth.org/archive/yep-all/
and searchable here: http://lists.cleannorth.org/search.pl
so you never have to save any messages in your inbox - you can always go find them later.
Have fun with this!
p.s. I wanted to tell you how impressed I was this afternoon. I have never seen a group get so much decided at its organizing meeting. In my paid job I report to a Board of Directors of professional people who can't stay on track and get things done anywhere near that efficiently. I was just astonished today. Congratulations, and I think it is a good sign for your future success.
kathie
