Hi Andrea,
We were hoping that with the change to the event (i.e. drastically reduced numbers of volunteers on chipping day, no kitchen, no warming tent), that your regular food volunteers could be recruited to help provide a trickle of baking for volunteers during the period Jan 1-9 instead of the big effort on the 9th.
We know that we'll still be purchasing cookies and timbits during that period, but thought this might be a way for the regular foodies to stay involved if they and you are willing.
We'd also hope for one pot of chili or stew for the 9th itself. If not, I will do this one myself as one pot is not a big deal. I'm also taking care of the coffee cups and bowls/spoons, bringing a big blue bin for them and bringing them home to wash. We anticipate no more than about twelve people per shift on the busiest times, so I can handle the cleanup from that.
Please let me know if this scenario is something you can work with. If not, we'll go the purchased cookies/donuts route to a larger extent.
Thanks very much, Kathie
