Re: Peter C's tent

Mark Crofts said that he can access tarps from Sault College to use for the walls of the food tent.

Mark also is willing to provide the trapper 'warmup' tent and I will help him move the poles using my trailer.

Hi, I just talked with Peter Courtemanche. He's agreed to meet with us at noon on the 11th to put up the kitchen tent. So we'll need all the principals there at that time.

Also, he's offered to sell us his tent. He says he doesn't need it anymore, and he'd like to unload it.

He'd like $500 for it. He says they go for $2500 new (I haven't verified that), and the canvas top will last another 3 yrs or so. He says that Tarp Farm can make us a replacement top when we decide we need to do that. I don't know how much that would cost.

He's also said that he will continue to help us out with setup or training new volunteers for setup duties if/when attrition takes its toll on our experienced crew. And he's offered to let us pay for the tent over a couple of years if we want to, to fit in our budget for Tree Chipping or other projects that use the tent, or to raise the funds through renting this tent to other groups.

What do you guys think?

k
