Sorry for my silent absence. I became totally rapped up with my family this Christmas season – and it was great!
$500 for a tent seems good – perhaps a decision can wait until we can see it on chipping day.
I have the material to make a barricade prototype. I think we should still use PP’s & build a small supply of our own, over the years. To safely barricade such a large site, we do need 50 units and I can’t see Clean North owning that many.
Barricades can be made in pairs (less waste) for under $100.
Materials for 2 barricades: Option 1: 12’ long 1 sheet – 4’ x 8’ x 11mm construction grade spruce plywood 4 – 2” x 6” x 12’ kiln dried spruce
Option 2: 10’ long (most of Palmer Paving’s are this size) 1 sheet – 4’ x 8’ x 11mm construction grade spruce plywood 2 – 2” x 6” x 10’ kiln dried spruce 2 – 2” x 6” x 12’ kiln dried spruce
Option 3: 8’ long (kind of but short easier to transport) 1 sheet – 4’ x 8’ x 11mm construction grade spruce plywood 2 – 2” x 6” x 18’ kiln dried spruce 2 – 2” x 6” x 12’ kiln dried spruce
Kathie, I am hoping to make the prototype this week (after new years in the evenings?) and maybe cut the rest, pending donation, this weekend.
Is it true that the only missing piece of equipment is the 2nd haul-truck?
