Re: tree-chip depot Update

Thursday 26 December 8:00 p.m.

Just talked to Peter, he has not yet found any barricades but will be out looking later tonight and tomorrow. He and I will both be there at 5:00 p.m. to move trailer unless we hear otherwise. I can only check e-mail every couple of days, so if time is of the essence, please use telephone (946-9599) to reach me.

Three bins have been dropped at the site. Unless they are all moved closer together in a northward direction, the bin furthest south is right where the trailer would be. If we move the trailer farther south there will not be much room for tree pile #1, but if there are only 2/3 the number of trees than last year that will not be a problem.

Volunteer schedule this Sunday (29th) is a bit thin; Kathie is site manager all day and there is only one volunteer 3-6pm. I do not intend to schedule any high school or CSO volunteers unless there is a shift supervisor, so I need to hear from Kathie whether she can find some site sups and wants more volunteers; otherwise the depot may not be staffed much on Sunday.

Okay, the start of a plan here: (If you see your name next to something
you can't do, let us know asap).

Soon,

Peter will go to the Canadian Tire end of the mall and find some
barricades. He'll store them in his truck or in his workshop until Friday
morning. If they're not there, he will let us know by email and Derek
will call Palmer Paving again.

Friday 7 am

Peter and Murray will meet at the mall and set up barricades where the
trailer is going to go, so that no one parks in that spot. They will also
meet the drivers from Soo Disposal, bringing the three bins. (Peter are
they coming at 7:30 am Friday as they did last year?)

Sometime Friday

The PUC will hook up the power cable on the pole and leave it for us.

Friday 5 pm

Peter, Don, Murray, and Kathie will meet to move the trailer into position
and hook up the electricity. Kathie will bring the trailer keys and the
extension cord from the office, Murray will bring the site plan, Peter
will bring the trailer keys that he has, his brother in law's truck to
move the trailer with, and the cinder blocks. Murray will lay out
barricades for the first tree pile, Don will level the trailer with help
from the rest.

okay?
