Thanks for sending the Tree Chipping report. All seemed to go well and the Venturers seemed to weather it ok from what I heard so far.
Here are a few comments on the Food Services from my point of view:
* Baking was great ... seemed to be lots with no shortages.
* Chili arriving warmed up is good ... most went I don't think there would have
been more than a bowl or two left.
* The large Dutch oven worked well to get it up to serving Temp. and the Crockpot as a server.
* More buns than was needed
* Small tub of margarine would be plenty ... use marg. over butter as butter stay too hard in cold Wx.
* Hot Chocolate was good for youth ... suggest the canned carnation. The best is the liquid syrup
purchase at Nat. Groc. we have an Account through Scouts and can pick some up next year if you wish.
* Drink Crystals ... did not make any but depends on weather .Had it been a warmer day they may prefer it.
* Made 1 pot of tea and was appreciated by a few of the volunteers.
* Agree sugar better than sugar cubes
* We used the 21st. Eastside 3 burner Propane Stove and a large burner to heat water ... Its hard on propane but provides lots of hot water that's needed to keep pace with dishes.
* Estimate we used about 10 # (1/2 of our bottle) Likely about $8.00 worth of Propane.
* Dishes .... needed fair number of towels as they freeze up when damp but there we lots available.
Should have a small container of non scented bleach for rinse water.
* Generator worked well and no problems with keeping Crock Pot warm and coffee pots.
* Wayne provide gas for generator ... I don't think it took all that much.
* Can't think of any thing further at this time.
Thanks Doug
