We used 15 packets (56 grams each) of Tim Horton's coffee

>General - should baking be provided for the days volunteers are on site prior to chipping?

It might be a good idea.  Drinking water and sugar munchies.

I bought some cookies two days before chipping day, pizza on Friday for the two volunteers who were doing a double shift, and a box of 65 Timbits early on chipping day.  I brought sugar, milk and coffee mate for the early coffee.

Drinking water was not available.  I would like to suggest that we approach a company like Pure Lacqua to donate several cases of their bottled water.  They often have batches with imperfect lables that they can't sell anyway.

Yes, before the hot water disappears the tables should be cleaned.  I did my best cleaning them this year; just hoping that the mall is happy.

I will contact Doug Grainger about out of pocket supplies like fuel for stoves and generator.

>- amounts seemed to be adequate except - drink crystals were not used

The reason the drink crystals were not used is because there was no mention for them in the plan I had with the Scouts (i.e need a mixing/serving container) If drink arrived pre-mixed in a serving container it would be consumed.

>- adding another item like pea soup seemed to be more of a problem, so I don't think I'll bother with this next year. Comments?

I never got to try the pea soup was it good?  The problem with the pea soup is that it was not part of the plan, so when it showed up unexpected the Scouts were not ready to deal with it.

So instead of dropping items that did not work, I suggest that we analyze why there were problems and then next year pay more attention to details.

We have always offered Scouts their fuel and ou-of-pocket costs.  If we got organized earlier we might be able to arrange fuel donations.
