Just curious about what is happening regarding publicity for the Three Rs Festival.

The STW had a photo on Page 22A (Dec. 27)

I sent the following text to WLSO 90.1 and I heard Todi and Joe G. read it a few times yesterday:

Clean North, Soo Canada’s local environmental group, is hosting a 3-R’s Festival at the Cambrian Mall in on January 6th & 7th.

In case you didn’t know 3-R’s stands for Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Items being collected for Recycling include:

Christmas trees (the real kind),

telephone books,

corrugated cardboard and

any kind of scrap metal.

Items being collected for Reuse include

blankets, towels and sweaters for the Humane Society,

books for the Friends of the Library,

Household items for the Women In Crisis Centre and

Non-perishable food for the Soup Kitchen.

Canadian high school students looking for a community involvement project are welcome to apply to help out as volunteers.
