Re: Clean North Fax is NOT DOWN

Folks:

So we have narrowed the problem down to that there is at least one fax machine (946-2112) that has somehow developed a problem communicating with the CN fax (and apparently has no known problem communicating with any other fax).

There may be other fax machines out there that have an issue with CN. So, if you are expecting a fax at the CN office and it does not arrive, do not assume that the person never tried to send it.

If you ever find another fax that will not communicate with CN, please report it. Thanks.

Don

Hi Don

I just sent a test fax from 942-9140 (FGO office) at about 10 am today, and phoned Jack at CN and it arrived.

Thanks Dan,

I've recently sent faxes to other numbers from 946-2112 (the outgoing fax
machine at OFRI) without any problems so I'm not sure what is going on;
it's . I'll try a multi page test fax next and see if any pages come
through.

I see that there is also a one-page test fax from Kevin Powley that came
through yesterday.

If anyone else has an opportunity to send a test fax to me at 945-0595
please do so and let me know by voice or email that you sent something.

Thanks for your help.

I sent one on Friday that came through fine. Another came through around
23:30 last night.

The only faxes that are failing on transmissions are your ones from
946-2112.

I'll rig up the CN outgoing machine to send to the incoming machine
tonight just for a third test, but right now, we've got two machines that
can send to CN and the only tested one that cannot is whatever you're
testing from. Have you confirmed if your 946-2112 machine can send to
anyone else recently?

When we walk to the edge of all the light we have and take the step into
the darkness of the unknown, we must believe that one of two things will
happen. There will be something solid for us to stand on, or we will be
taught to fly.
