1. sabe is now being backed up nightly
2. sabe is back on the UPS
3. Jim is working on getting webmail going
4. FTP is off, and will stay that way, at least for now.
5. DNS serving (named) is back up and running on sabe

See #5. You're allowed to have a power failure now. :)

And still... our fax software won't compile on the latest version of our OS.
Seems to me we have a lot of these problems with this fax software, and
nothing else. Unfortunately, the other thing we tried for a while (efax) is
even worse.

Now we need to patch a few more machines against a couple more bugs. That
should be done by Fri morning (I'm aiming for Thurs morning, but we'll see.
I'm still compiling the thing and it doesn't look like it's going to be done
by bedtime. I don't wat to patch while people are working. That'd cause
more problems than it'd solve).

For now, all our internet-facing machines are safe, and the internal-only
ones have a hole or two but no known exploits for those holes in the wild,
meaning I can wait one more day, but not any more.

I also have monitoring in place so I'll know immediately if anyone tries to
exploit them... that and getting at the internal machines means you have to
log in... so I know you're trying to exploit them, and I know your name...
chances are someone at CN knows where you live, so don't even try! :)

Aah... almost under control again...
