That's a huge relief. When it looked like it had been dropped, we expected
the hard drive might be toast. That would have required some major time
spent finding another drive and reloading Windows and the rest of the
software. Not to mention the cost of a replacement. Best news I've had
all day. :)

Thank you. Things are still unclear there. From what I have been able to
gather, alcohol was involved, and a large degree of bad judgement and poor
choice of friends ("with friends like that who needs enemies" has not been
more apt, in my experience). But the verdict is still out.
