Re: Mullberry access

Hi Don.

After the changes Dan made this weekend, each user needs to change his/her
password. After that, you will be able to open Mulberry. We should have
put that on a sign above the servers but didn't think of it. I meant to
email all users who have addresses other than @cleannorth.org and tell you
but had a glitch here that Dan had to address first and then I had to dash
to work. Of course, the @cleannorth.org users wouldn't get that message
anyway! I talked with Jay this morning and I think he and Chris are ok
now, except for the fact that neither of them chose a good password.

The new password rules are:
1. at least seven characters (and not more than 128 characters!)
2. at least three of the four character types: lowercase, uppercase,
numbers, and non-alphanumeric characters (such as @#$%)
3. can't be simply-based on a dictionary word (so backwards spelling still
doesn't work).

The recommendation is to think of a sentence or phrase that means something
to you (first line of a poem, punch line of a joke, favourite line from a
movie, statement about yourself or loved one) and create a password from
the first letters in that sentence, using numbers or other characters to
replace a letter or substitute for a word in the sentence. Alternatively,
nonsense words with substitutions such as 3 for E, etc.

Good luck!
k
