That's the UPS taking care of a line spike. It's a good idea to turn off all equipment when that happens. Especially the printers. They can take out the fileserver if they get fried. Mar 16 06:10:50 anakin upsd[8303]: frequency: 60.00, maxvac: 125.4, minvac: 120.9, voltage: 124.1 Mar 16 06:10:50 anakin upsd[8303]: load: 45.2, recharge: 100.0, temp: 38.7, vdc: 27.60, output voltage: 123.5 123.5V is the most it is willing to put out. It's taking in 124.1 here. the max it has recorded up to now is 125.4... I'll watch this for a while, and if we get more of it, I'll tone down the sensitivity on the UPS. 125 is reasonable to feed a computer (barely). Darn... and I thought we had clean power in there. -Dan -- "Burnished gallows set with red Caress the fevered, empty mind Of man who hangs bloodied and blind To reach for wisdom, not for bread." -- Deoridhe Grimsdaughter
