Replying for the sake of the list archives... On Sat, Sep 29, 2001 at 10:17:20PM -0400, Don McGorman wrote: > I'm logged on through Biggs. It's still installed, and should still work on most (all?) of the machines. I'm not sure I'll have time to get rid of it completely, but it's safe to say it's depricated. When it breaks, it won't be fixed (and at least one computer/month tends to have netscape break (or did when netscape was in daily use) so don't expect it to live long). Instead, web browsing has been replaced with IE5 and mail with Pegasus.... actually mail with IMAP which gives us a bit more flexibility. This can be seen in our new webmail client... http://webmail.cleannorth.org/ ... It has access to all of your pegasus folders... just like that. I've disabled the auto-install of components now. You shouldn't ever see that prompt again. Thanks for declining it. I greatly appreciate that. VBScript is an administrative nightmare almost worse than the Netscape one we've just vanquished.
