I've been down to the office a few times recently, and made a few changes. First, the cable modem is shared among all three clients, and each of the clients has access to the CN network again. I attached the HP dj670c to the network and called it lando after its predecessor. To do this, I disabled jabba. It wasn't working reliably, anyway. Lando works fine except that its color cartridge is empty, and it prints extremely slowly. I'm well on my way to figuring out why jabba has such difficulty printing. This came about when I attached lando. Anyone who tries to use it will notice that lando prints at a snail's pace. I'm not entirely sure why that is, but I'd be willing to bet that it's for the same reason that Jabba was having such difficulty printing. I still haven't gotten obiwan to accept the cable connection to the internet. That will be crucial if I am to do remote administration. I expect to have that working in the next few days. Anyone who finds that they cannot send mail after the switch to the cable modem, but can still receive it should look in their netscape preferences for "outgoing mail server" and change it from 192.168.15.1 to 192.168.15.2. (Dee, I did this for you today). I have been working hard on archiving the email lists. You can see the mostly-complete archive at http://lists.cleannorth.org/ where the only functionality still not implemented are the subscribe and unsubscribe web-forms. The archive for this list is at http://lists.cleannorth.org/archive/techies/ Hope all is well. -Dan
