new pesticide list is available

Hello, fellow pests!

This is to welcome you to the new pesticide list.

The way these lists work is you send a message to
pest@lists.cleannorth.org
and the webserver automatically sends that message to all the email 
addresses that are subscribed to the list.  For now, for this list, that 
includes all of us who were at that first pesticide working group meeting. 
As others join us they can subscribe to the list or I will subscribe them.

When you reply to someone who sent a message to the list, if it's list 
business, use "reply all" on your email server, and it will go to the list, 
too, not just back to the person you're replying to.

These messages will be stored in an archive so you can refer anytime to 
anything that was ever said across the list.  To see the archive, open your 
internet browser and put this in the window at the top:

http://lists.cleannorth.org

from there you can choose the pest list, and select the month you're 
looking for, and choose a message to see again.

These archives are open to the public, so don't say anything in this list 
that you wouldn't want printed in the Sault Star, ok?  Nothing nasty or 
personal, even if you're dealing with a very difficult person in another 
organization and letting the rest of us know what's happening.

Use the Subject line of the emails well.  This will be how we all find 
things in the archives, sometimes months or even years later.  So put in a 
descriptive subject.  Also, if you reply to someone but want to change the 
subject, use a new subject line and a new message rather than a reply.
