RE: help???

Thanks for raising the question again, Don. In the past I figured anyone who made the effort to attend CN meetings on a pretty-regular basis should be on that list (although lately that would exclude me!). But it should definitely be an opt-in thing, no one should be signed on to the list without wanting to be, unless they're really an "officer". Maybe we should ask at the next meeting, or by an email invitation to the ones you've named here and a few more - e.g. Robert Rattle, Jennifer Johnson?

Everyone:
Peter used the officers list for his message which only includes a
handful of CN members; who decides what names are on the officers list?
Peter and I are on it and we are not 'officers'; Ursula, Katie, Luke,
Mark and Laura (to mention a few) are not. Kathie asked for input on
this about a month ago and probably heard nothing back. I think Ursula
should be on the list as she has been doing as much as Peter and I.
But this begs the question about who should receive important
time-sensitive communications regarding Clean North? For example, a high
school class looking for a topic speaker? Kathie Brosemer is the only
scientist in the 'officers list' group and she is probably too busy.

Subject: help???

CLA would like a CN rep to attend their Annual Meeting tomorrow (Thurs)
at 4pm at the Holiday Inn...to receive recognition for our assistance in
setting up the new Recycling depot. Is anyone free to attend???

There is also a request for someone to speak to a class at SJD about
pesticides and their effects on the environment. It is not an area I am
comfortable with for making presentations. I have more questions than I
have answers...and I am sure that the students will be looking for
answers. Is anyone free/comfortable to speak? The contact is Ryan
Bennett 942-3833 aft 3:15.

Thanks
Peter
