The Ministry of Energy Community Conservation Initiatives (CCI) fund is
announcing a one-time funding opportunity for community and
environmental groups who undertake the planning and successful delivery
of a Community Conservation Fair prior to March 31, 2008.

The CCI program supports incorporated not-for-profit organizations that
deliver innovative energy conservation initiatives to their local
community. CCI is intended to help raise awareness about energy
conservation, engage energy consumers to undertake conservation actions,
and foster long-term behavioural change toward energy conservation.

The application deadline for the 2008 Conservation Fairs program is*
January 11, 2008*. In general, the maximum CCI contribution available to
host a fair is $5,000. Applicants can apply to deliver multiple fairs
but separate applications must be received for each fair. All fairs
supported by the CCI program must be completed by March 31, 2008.
