RE: members e-news - Rainbarrels!

The disappointing thing is that only Peter and I showed up for the work party. We produced 12 barrels. It will be Peter's call when we do more.

Special focus!

Peter, the rainbarrelmeister, announces:

"Tarp Farm has 42 barrels and I have 12 sets of fittings. I have ordered 50 more fittings which should be here in 10-14 days.

We can make 12 next Tuesday, 7:30, CN office.

Any /all help welcome."

So, if you've been on the waiting list for one of these beauties, there's light at the end of the tunnel. If you'd like to help build yours, come down to the office, 736 Queen, next Tuesday evening. Our delightful Katie will be documenting the process, so that our rainbarrel project will pass the bus-crash test.

In other news, please mark your calendar for the Horticulture Society's annual plant sale - it's Saturday May 26th, 8 am to noon, at the United Baptist Church on Malabar, just off Great Northern. It's a once-a-year event of great import - don't miss it!

Clean North will have our bat houses, new vermicomposters (and we'll take orders for worms), bird feeders, a rainbarrel for display and orders, and lots of information on green outdoor living (pesticides, fleas, water conservation, etc.). If you can help staff the booth for an hour or two, phone the office at 945-1573 to offer! We'll look forward to seeing you there.

Til then, be well.
Kathie
