I tried sending another test fax on Friday and the same thing happened (my fax machine connects and starts transmitting and then the job goes into 'pause' mode after about fifteen seconds; this indicates that the transmission was incomplete and my fax machine is holding the job in memory and will try sending again later; I deleted the job at that point); perhaps there is a problem at my end but I doubt it.
Dan says that we 'have missed precisely zero faxes'; so I'm curious has anyone seen any incoming fax at the CN office recently? There used to be at least one or two spam faxes each week sitting on the printer regardless; if no fax have come off the printer then there may be a problem at the CN end.
Can someone please send a one page test fax to the CN fax number (945-0595) and then go to the CN office and confirm that the fax actually arrived (i.e. there is a hardcopy on the printer) ? If your fax arrives then that will more or less confirm that the problem is a my end.

Actually, it isn't. Dan's checked the phone/fax logs and his reply is below. Something was apparently "malformed" (whatever that means) in the test faxes you sent, perhaps try again. If it happens again that you think the fax is down, first thing is to check the printer queue to see if there's something clogging the printer and preventing the fax to come through.
Apparently the faxes you had expected from others were not sent. The logs show no incoming except a voice call to that number, between May 30 and today. Maybe check with the sender about that.

There was one failed attempt (that looks like a voice call) between this properly received fax on May 30 and your two tests today.
The fax machine answers OK but the transmission does not complete.

I don't know what your test fired at it, but it was malformed.
If this can not be fixed quickly, perhaps we can arrange with Bell tohave
the number 945-0595 forwarded to a fax machine at a place like Quick Copy where Clean North would pay to receive faxes? The way things are is bad for business and its sabotaging my volunteer effort.
We have missed precisely zero faxes. I have logs of every time that phone rings and every packet of fax data that flies by on it.
Jim just attempted to connect via data link without issue.
