I have mixed emotions...these are my current musings... It sounds great (romantic) to stand up and opose the nuclear movement... but it would be hypocritical of me because I am quite willing to consume the electricity which is now generaterd by nuclear plants...but what are my options??? Are there any TOTALLY safe alternatives? All systems on earth are intricately connected. There is always some risk to the environment and future life on earth. The question is how much risk is each of us willing to live with? The only way we are going to prevent future nuclear developments (and we can only do it the local/national level) is to reduce our consumption/demand for more energy or to demand "cleaner" alternatives AND be willing to pay for them. The key to solving most problems is education. This is where I would like to focus my energy/efforts. I think CN should pass on this unless someone is commited to becoming ACTIVELY involved. I am not in favor of a "token" endorsement NWW. I might have some deeper thoughts later. Peter
