Count me in.

Here's the draft (it's a bit neater in the word processor, hoping you can
follow the bullets...)
nyurgh... those apostrophes really get you too... reformatting... ;)
I won't delete items I'm not commenting on for Jim's benefit.

Carpeting plan:

Weds. Feb 19th, 7-9 pm

Five volunteers, including D. Brosemer, J. Dew, K. Brosemer
* dismantle 5 client systems, fax, 3 printers, video system, remove to
desk in IS, tarp and label
Easy.

* label server room off-limits to workers
Razor wire good enough? Can anyone lend us a Doberman? :)

Seriously, though, all I need is a nice long length of double-sided velcro
to make it hard to do damage apart from deliberately.

* box contents of stack 2, unbolt stack from wall, move against
stack 1, place boxes on shelves

Thurs. Feb. 20th, 9:30-11:30 am

K. Brosemer and A. Peters
* move desk 2 to in front of brochure rack, supply electricity to
   desk 2
* place tool box, vacuum cleaner under desk 2
* place kitchen supplies, bowls, silverware, coffee/tea supplies on
   desk 2.
* box contents of desk 5 and store in walk-in closet

Thurs. Feb. 20th, 7-9 pm

Five volunteers
* dismantle desk 1, leave in place
* box loose matter from rear third of room, move to IS behind counter
* move furniture from rear third (desks 3,4,9, two bookshelves, four
cabinets) to IS, place in paint stacks as compactly as possible. Hide
three best office chairs in paint stacks.
* box contents of stacks 3&4, move to IS
* move stacks 3&4 to IS

Fri. Feb 21st 7-9 pm.
Five volunteers
* box loose matter from middle third of room to rear third
* move furniture from middle third to rear third (desks 5,6,7,8, two
   lateral file cabinets)
* move desk 1 parts to rear third.
* remove telephone cable that goes nowhere from behind file cabinets
* move little fishies to atop the cabinet outside the bathroom
  take power from kamino

Saturday Feb 22nd, five or six volunteers in each of three-hour shifts
starting at 9 am, work in this sequence:
[ chopping this up for readability ]

* remove loose carpeting in first third, cut and place carpeting in
   first third, glue carpeting.

* move stack 2, bolt to wall, reshelve books
* remove old carpeting in middle third, scrape and clean floor, vacuum
* cut and place carpeting in middle third, glue carpeting

* move stacks 3&4 to front third and place in position.
* return books to stacks 3&4
* return desk 1 parts to front, reassemble
* return desks 5,6,7,8 to middle
Do things dry this fast? Is that why we're re-stocking shelves during this
instead of waiting until Tues/Thurs for Ashley to do it?

* return file cabinets to middle
* return boxed loose matter to middle
* remove old carpeting from rear third of room, scrape and clean
   floor, vacuum
* cut and place carpeting in rear third, glue carpeting

* move furniture from IS to rear third of room
* move loose matter from IS to rear third
* move fax, computers, printers to desks 5,6,7,8,9
check.

* clean up front of room, food and drink area, wash dishes
* move desk 2 back into position
* move video from IS to desk 2

Advance work:

Ensure a phone is working and accessible throughout, place phone and phone
book on Kamino.
Two phone jacks are in IS, one by each network jack. I can rewire the phone
in 30sec to have the fax run on one if you want to keep it going between Wed
and Sat... the other can have the voice line (it's already set up for that).

Put first aid kit in washroom.
Decide which vacuum is most useful and make sure it's there.
Ensure adequate supply of t.p. and face tissues, hand towels, soap, vacuum
bags if needed,
Tidy up IS to extent possible.
Looks peachy.
