BOYD date?

Hi folks,

I have a recycler, in North Toronto, if I can get some kind of deal on 
freight costs.

I'm going to call Bud at TransProvincial and am confident this will work 
out, because when I last talked to Bud a few weeks ago to ask for a free 
trip to Montreal for 21 pallets of books, and he declined, he said he could 
give us backhauls to Toronto "anytime".

So, given that this actually works out on Monday and we are set, here's the 
question...

October 4,5, or October 18,19?

October 4,5 had been our original plan.  It's 3 weeks away.  We could 
definitely do this, but it would be a darn sight easier if we didn't also 
have Scavenger Day and Green Side Up happening in the next two weeks, and 
I'm trying to get our year-end all done before our treasurer moves to 
Wisconsin.  The advantage of staying with this date is we get it over with 
sooner.

October 18,19 gives us two more weeks.  It's the week after Thanksgiving. 
More time to get posters and other publicity, to recruit new volunteers on 
the tech side (we've lost both Dan and Jay).  The disadvantage is that we 
take more of a chance on weather.

The location is available for either time.  Hans at the mall is giving us 
the same spot we had last time, and Tim checked with him on either date - 
it's good.

Either way I'd like your input soonest, so I can include this info in my 
conversation with Bud P, and include it in a members' e-news that I want to 
send out this week to promote Scavenger Day and Green Side Up.  Debbie's 
starting volunteer scheduling for GSU very soon.
