[Fwd: James Gordon house concert]

Start at the bottom on this one. It's gone a bit quickly with no
consultation with other CN people, but I think it's a good one and I've
left us an "out" if somebody has a problem with this.

Please let me know what you think. And do, start at the bottom. It's
too confusing if you read straight on from here.

Great. Then we are all clear on what's expected and needed.

James has always played to packed houses here, so I'm sure we will be
able to pre-sell 40 tickets at $15. I'd prefer to do this so that I
know who's coming. If it's a "private party" for Clean North members
and their guests, on our premises, we won't have to get a liquor license
to have beer and a donation bin for that.

Would James have any objection to our having a "donation" structure for
ticket sales - as in minimum donation is $15, higher levels get a tax
receipt from our group? I haven't done this before, so if you have some
experience with this and there's a suggested wording on it, great. If
it's something the star objects to, please let me know - I offend only
by my ignorance.

I haven't heard that yet. Sounds like it would be popular here. I made
the news here in October 1996 saying there would be a body count due to
the Harris cuts to drinking water testing. When Walkerton happened the
local news station re-ran that clip. Wish I had been wrong.

Clean North

Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario

ph 705-945-1573

start at 8 pm? flexible - what's he want to do?
He can set up anytime, day or night. It's our premises.
Venue address is the same as our mailing address, above.
Definitely billeted. Probably my house. If not, still no problem -
Clean North billeted 38 people last fall for the OEN conference here.
We will find him a very comfortable place to be. Any allergies? Food
preferences?

please note that this is all being arranged very quickly by email and I
have to confirm with our group - but I'm sure they will love it.

This would be nice. I intend to sell the tickets by email list to our
membership, but if James's mailing list turned up a couple of people,
that would be fine, too. They might join Clean North!

thanks...
