Clean North e-news - Computers and Annual

Two items only:

1. This weekend the fall computer recycling event takes place. We sure could use your help.

Place: 550 Second Line East, between the PUC and the City Police Station.

Time: 10 am to 4 pm Saturday, plus a couple of extra hours to clean up afterwards. Offer whichever several hours suit your plans.

Tasks: Help with unloading people's cars, receiving the toonie-per-monitor recycling charge, carrying junk to the pallets, loading pallets, keeping coffee made and the lunchroom tidy, keeping track of sales, sweeping the floor, bundling up trash, keeping young people busy, and everything else that needs to be done. You pick your job. We'll especially need a few well-rested people to come right at 4 pm and help with the cleanup, because those who've been there all day will be worn out!

Dress: Warm, layered, casual!

How to volunteer: email kathie@cleannorth.org or volunteer@cleannorth.org. Please let us know what you want to do and when you plan to be there.

2. Clean North's Annual Meeting and party (really it's the other way around), Friday the 13th of October at the haunted corn maze at Mockingbird Hill, starting at 5-ish. We have the fire ring at the back of the Buchan House. Bring a dish to share, either to serve cold, easily warmed over a fire or Coleman stove, or well wrapped to keep the heat in. All members are welcome, no RSVP required, just show up. We'd love to see you and your family there.

Enjoy your autumn!
