Hello Clean North members,
This weekend is the computer recycling event. So if you have stuff in the basement to get rid of (any electronics except TVs and microwaves) please remember to get it to us before 4 pm on Saturday. At the PUC warehouse space at 550 Second Line.
We have a lot of help this year from students on a PD Day (Friday), and from Katimavik volunteers on the Saturday. There are a couple of gaps still, though, so if you had two hours to pitch in we'd appreciate it:
Friday night to help Peter load the truck, from 6 to 8 pm
Saturday morning to sit at the front table and take in the admission, 9:30 am to noon.
Saturday after we close, to help us all get the place tidied up, from 4 to 6 pm.
Saturday at closing time is especially critical, as those of us who will have been there all day will be completely exhausted, barely able to point and grunt at what needs to be done! (I exaggerate, but only slightly!)
We also need one person with a pickup truck or Suburban-type vehicle, to take a load of stuff to the Clean North office after 4 on Saturday. We have the same three we always have, but this time there's a new wrinkle and we expect to need one more.
If you can help with any of this, please email me (kathie@cleannorth.org) and let me know.
many, many thanks.
