Hello, I'm sure it will be spring soon, don't give up hope!

A few items:

1. Sorry about envelope confusion
2. Thanks for supporting Bring Out Your Dead
3. Need a few short letters to the editor
4. Carole Rubin is coming!

1. Sorry about envelope confusion

If you looked at the mailing label for your last newsletter, you undoubtedly noticed that your membership expiry date was wrong. I'm sorry about that. I had just gotten home from a long trip and was asked which membership file to print labels from - and I gave the wrong answer. We ended up using a file that was at least a year old. Don't worry, we do have you up to date in the right file, and now I've deleted some old files to end the confusion. Next time we'll get it right.

2. Thanks for supporting Bring Out Your Dead

We had a very successful computer recycling event last month, we shipped off a full transport again, made some money to pay the bills, and have a few new toys for the office including a really spiffy (and huge) laser printer. It was fun, and we had some help from the new Youth Environment Program all spiffy in their new green t-shirts. Thanks for participating! Watch for another one in the early fall.

3. Need a few short letters to the editor

You may have noticed the letters to the Sault Star are complaining about the new garbage restrictions. Can you put a short letter together? We do need to point out that this is not onerous - three garbage cans' worth is still a huge amount of garbage! Even two cans, which will be the rule next winter, ought not to be a problem if people will use their blue and yellow boxes. For the spring cleaning times when families have extra, people can buy a tag, it's not expensive.

A few short letters pointing out the obvious (it's about _taxes_, people, and the horrendous costs of a new landfill!) would be helpful right about now. You can email your letter to ssmstar@saultstar.com. Thanks!

4. Carole Rubin is coming!

Next Tuesday, at 7 pm, at Sault College, G wing. It's all about How to Get Your Lawn and Garden off Drugs! Couldn't be more timely, what with the Ontario College of Family Physicians report last week, and now our hospital of all places has announced no more sprays!

Come and hear Carole - it will be fun.

be well, do good work, and keep in touch. Sorry, that's plagiarism, isn't it? :)
