RE: BOYD update

Peter
As far as I am know the City is going to help out.
If you need a place to store pallets we can open up a corner of the
waste site for you. If you need some help collecting pallets or boxes
let me know and I can have one of our light duty workers assigned to do
some of that work.
I will be back in town on the 4th of September so please email me and
let me know when your next meeting is so I can try to attend. My home
email address is randallr@shaw.ca.
I will try to arrange the refuse and recycling similar to the last time
so if you are talking to John about arranging the containers you can
mention to him that we will work out the landfill fees the same as we
did at the last event.

We are almost set to go...

Transpro has agreed to supply up to 3 trailers!!!

Randy left a message that the he is pretty sure that the city is going
to
finance at least part (if not all) of the cost of the monitors. He can't

confirm it because Pat McAuley is on holidays and Randy is leaving for
vacation tomorrow and won't be back until Sept.5.

PUC has not said "no" yet...therefore we are probably in there for
September
28-29...I will be able to confirm this by next Friday.

Adler/Sears are saving boxes.

Tricycle has confirmed the same costs for monitors...$6, $8 and
$10....with
a $6 credit for all useable monitors.

I have not heard back from ASI.

My preference is to go with TRIcycle ie. pay for the monitors and keep
our
"garbage" in Ontario. If we can't raise the money to cover the
monitors....then we go with the alternate recycler (who does not charge
but
has strict shipping/packing instructions and sends the monitors to
India). I
think that we should charge $3/monitor regardless of how we dispose of
them.

I will hold off on final confirmation and public announcements until
after
Labor Day.

Have a great weekend.

Peter

Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten
