I have counted the funds raised and we had another very successful day. Not as great as the peak at the station mall, but better than average for the PUC building location. Email privately if you'd like the number, I don't want to post it on the website archives of this list.

At last count we had 33 pallets full, I will verify this with Peter when it's all loaded on the truck. The first truck was closed up with 24 pallets, the remaining nine will wait in the PUC building until TransProvincial (our heroes!) can arrange for a second truck and we can meet them with Randy Roy (our other hero!) from the city and his forklift, to load.

There are complete systems and some parts at the Clean North office for sale. If in the next few weeks you encounter anyone who laments they didn't get there and wanted to buy a computer, please tell them to call us.

Businesses dropping off on Friday contributed a few hundred dollars too, some of which is included in what I counted today, other cheques are "in the mail".

There are also a few hundred dollars yet to be collected from our toner/ink cartridge/cell phone sales to recyclers. This has proven to be a nice post-BOYD moneymaker and it's not insignificant.

We provided eleven systems to six organizations through our wishlist program, too. Clients of the Thessalon public library, Katimavik, Red Cross, Program READ, Credit Counselling, and Algoma Manor Home for the Aged benefited from our event this time.

Other thanks: Culligan for that nice fresh water, the PUC for the use of their building, our many wonderful volunteers who work so hard to keep this stuff out of landfill and help us raise money to keep the Clean North activities and office going. You're the most amazing team I've ever seen - to work so hard, stay focussed and organized, and thus get so incredibly much done in a period of just 30 hours. I am in awe of you.

Kathie
