hello, im kevin Folz, i volunteered for clean North's BOYD... i have a question

hi...

i was wondering if anyone has some of those misc parts that were taken
from the Disisembly Parts section.

at 4:00 i was able to score a free computer (that was originaly for
sale), but... in my excitement i forgot to grab a NIC card from that
large pile of misc cards... also....... I tried the computer at my house
and it freezes on windows 98 Startup screen (i inserted my 1GIG HD from
my other computer that already had everything installed)  i figure its a
video card failure.... since also it freezes on the Quake 1's (Dos game)
starting demo (i used a startup disk to get into command prompt)... i
removed all excess hardware, and tried a fresh install of win98... but
still no sucess in SafeMode or Normal....

Questions:

Does anyone have a one of those nic cards so i can use my highspeed
internet ?

Does anyone have a semi-decent video card (2MB) from that pile that is
better then the one in this comp. that i can have? 

Or... is something else the problem; causing Windows98 startup screen to
freeze and lock-up

Note: The comp i just got is 166Mhz, 64 MB Ram, 1GIG HD

Video card in there is a Cyrus, but i am unable to gather any other
information from it

 

PS: i have a comp downstairs.... but its realy slow..... the newer one i
just got from clean north i was hoping to have in my room...
