Dear Colleagues:

Please pass this information on to person that is organizing your school's
recycled books.

Stage 3

                        Soft or Hard cover!
            No phone books, magazines or catalogues

Please remember we have 2 destinations for these books and they need to
packaged in separate boxes (sturdy boxes with tops) - Recycled books going
to Montreal and reused books going to Toronto Port Authority destined for
St. Lucia.

Forest Fibers of Quebec says, "The covers for the recycled books will be
stripped off and will become roofing felt. The insides will go to a plant
that manufactures toilet tissue.  It's all within the same company, so you
can be confident it's not being diverted along the way to unpleasant ends
such as landfills and incinerators.  It's all taking place within Canada!"

The Plant Dept. will pick these up and take them to S.F. Howe for temporary
storage or to the Trbovich building  as of June 10th (old PUC building on
Second Line).  The general public and all other educational institutions
will also drop books off at the Trbovich building.  Clean North will be
advertising this huge event in the Sault Star and other forms of media.
The Trbovich building will be open to receiving books on the second weekend
in July 5-7 (June 10 to July 7) or with prior arrangements with Peter
McClarty, tel 759-3393 or via email petmcla@soonet.ca.
