Fw: location progress?

To all committee members...
Peter

PS... I took a look at the building last evening and peeked through the windows of the east side. The loading dock is actually INSIDE the big garage doors. There appears to be enough room on the loading dock to handle 24 pallets (one truck load). There are 3 garage bays, so that books could be stored inside right there and we would not have to move them into the "back" office space. ie...this site will work! We would have to load a transport as soon as we had 24 pallets. Sounds vague/confusing???....bottom line is we can confirm this location offficially on Tuesday!!!

Wheeeewww!!
We have a new contact at the PUC...Al Tourigney. He tells me that we can have the loading dock on the east side of the building for sure... but there is not a lot of storage space right at the dock. There are a lot of empty offices in the back that we can use for storage , but this would mean "double handling". He is leaving town first thing in the morning so that I cannot get to check out the site until Tuesday. We can have either site for the full month!
The city is still using the west side of the building, which is ideal. I am attempting to see if we can "share" the space with the city (if they have not vacated it on time).
The PUC has said that we can have the building "gratis" if we give them public billing for their assistance.
We should have a definite go by Tuesday evening.
Peter
