The list "owner" can do that, by logging in to the clean north site and using the List Management feature that only appears if you have that privilege. I'm a list owner for our project planning lists, but not for web-devel, techies, etc. If you want to know planning list members at any time, I can generate a list and forward it to you. What I do is go log in on cleannorth.org, go to list management, log in there, and put in a list request. The list is then emailed to me and arrives in my inbox in a minute or two if I haven't made any errors. I usually do this for members e-news before I send out the e-newsletter, and verify that I have all new addresses in there, and for planning lists at the beginning of a new planning "cycle" (BOYD, Treechip, etc.). If you want to be a list owner, send a message to web-devel and one of them will set you up for that (I'm not sure if one list can have multiple owners though). It does mean a new password, however! It's a separate pw system from the office network and from cleannorth.org (not to say you can't choose the same one, though, but I have three different ones). It's password- and privilege- protected to protect our members' email addresses from unsolicited emails, viruses, and worms. We've all had the experience of getting nasties via other lists we're on (I got "Japanese Sexy Lass Pictures" last week - don't ask!). :) We don't get them from cleannorth.org lists. If you have other questions I haven't answered here, it's probably beyond my grasp, so email web-devel@lists.cleannorth.org and maybe someone there can help! I'll get those replies too, so I can pursue further if the answer is unsatisfactory. thanks kathie --On Sunday, May 05, 2002 2:01 PM +0000 Don McGorman <mcgormd@hotmail.com> wrote: > Kathie: > > Is there a way of finding out who is on a subscription list at any point > in time? > > Don > >> From: Kathie Brosemer <kathie@cleannorth.org> >> To: book@lists.cleannorth.org >> Subject: book planning list is up >> Date: Sat, 04 May 2002 20:30:26 -0400 >> >> Hi, this is your message telling you that you're subscribed to the list >> "book@lists.cleannorth.org" Those of us who are working on the book >> recycling event can communicate with all the rest at once now.
