Hi, this is your message telling you that you're subscribed to the list "book@lists.cleannorth.org" Those of us who are working on the book recycling event can communicate with all the rest at once now. Just put this in your To: field and away it goes to all seven of us. Here's some rules to make life easier: 1. This is a publicly accessible list. That means all our postings are archived where anyone who wants to can look at them. So try to be polite even if responding to someone with frustration, and no name-calling even if dealing with an outside institution that is putting up roadblocks in our way. OK? 2. When you reply to someone's message, use "reply all" in your email program so that your response goes to the whole list, not just to the person who sent the original message. 3. Messages to the list are archived according to the "subject" line, so if you reply to someone's message, make sure that your message contains something actually related to that original message. If what you have to say is about a different topic, start a new message rather than "reply"-ing. 4. Use your subject line well. Messages will be archived with that subject line, so it makes searching for a particular topic, later, much easier if you state in your subject line what the message is about. Don't leave the subject line blank. If you want to visit the archives, open up your internet browser and put this in the browser line at the top: http://lists.cleannorth.org that will take you there, and you can explore all our lists and check out how they work. thanks! Enjoy! kathie
